Strength - Endurance Training
If you are looking to build strength most people follow the heavy weights for low reps with a good deal of rest during the workout and between workouts. This is all well and good but there is a slight problem with this type of training. Most people who focus on this type of training shouldn't be. They should be focusing on strength-endurance training. If you focus on strictly strength routines it won't hold up in the real work when you are doing real life activities. Sure you may look good but would you rather be able to lift a heavy object once or be able to do it multiple times?
Member Spotlight - Meet Marie
Marie joined Studio ME back in March of 2017. She was taking classes and then decided to take the leap and join MEfit Bootcamp this past June. She has completed one program and is halfway through her second program. It has been so much fun to watch her get stronger. She is killing it on the rowing machine and has upped the anti on her weight lifting. Go girl! Let's learn a little about Marie and her story.
Joani found her groove...
Joani has overcome a few injuries that have sidelined her over the past few years. Read her story about her fight to remain both physically and mentally strong throughout recovery and her journey to be a badass not only in her workouts but in her personal life too! She has found her groove again winning the Studio ME bi-annual Rowing Challenge. Joani rowed over 125K meters during the month of September. Way to go girl!!!
