Week 9 of 12 Body Transformation Challenge...3 Weeks Left!

It is crazy to think that we are already going into week 10 of our Amazing12 Body Transformation Program. That we’ve completed 45 strength training workouts using barbells and free weights and an unbelievable amount of MEPs (Myzone Effort Points)) with sandbell slams, kettlebell swings, clean, snatches, etc over the past 10 weeks.

There have been a lot of ups and downs of the weeks and how the workouts have felt. Feeling like I hit a wall and that there was no way I could lift anymore, to getting over that and feeling stronger than ever, to struggling to not eat all the sugar during the week, to the cardio feeling like torture! LOL. OK not that bad, but I just didn’t have the energy to get through it.

Gaining back my energy

This week, I finally realized something was missing. I was feeling fatigued and the cardio was TOUGH! I just didn’t have it in me to push to get my heart rate where it needed to be so I ran to GNC and picked up some BCAAs that focused on recovery and inflammation. I took it Thursday and the cardio was manageable and again on Friday and my workout felt amazing! I also had much more energy and felt recovered. Tyler even started to drink too and the two days he’s taken it, he said he’s slept like a baby the past couple days. We’ll see how I continue to feel as we move into the last three weeks and 15 workouts but I may have found a winner! Stay tuned for next weeks post and I will share the product if I keep feeling good. ;)

What else about this week can I share?

I am still rowing instead of running. My knees feeling better but I want to make sure they are great before I go out and run 2.5+ miles in 20 mins. My plan is to try and run again this week and see how it goes. I will be sure to do more warmup, including using the percussion gym, NIMBL, and recovering properly afterwards.

Getting carbs Thursday-Saturday was amazing! I indulged in fruit and some oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and quinoa.

My sleep and recovery was pretty good this week and the bloated feeling I had mid week subsided once I cut my carbs on Thursday. I did find that was using too much protein powder on my busy days vs real food which I believe lead to the bloating.

Other than that, I am feeling good and happy with my progress to this point. I am excited to move into week 10 now that I have the right recovery process in place and we’ll see you next week!
