From Solo Workouts to a Supportive Fit Fam—How Rahul Found More Than Just Fitness at Studio ME
When Rahul moved to Minneapolis just nine months ago, he was eager to explore a new city—from scenic walks and yo-yo sessions to discovering hidden food gems. But one thing remained constant through the move: his commitment to living a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Before Studio ME, Rahul had been lifting weights solo. It worked—to a degree. But like many people, he found something was missing: community, guidance, and a deeper sense of purpose in his workouts.
"I went to a gym in my last location and was enjoying the fact that I could live a healthier lifestyle," Rahul shares. "When I heard about Studio ME, I was excited because I knew I would have the opportunity to continue my workouts but in a way that challenges me, while also making friends along the way."

That blend of accountability and camaraderie is something many solo gym-goers crave. At Studio ME, Rahul found more than a place to lift. He found connection. Group workouts gave him structure and energy, while goal-oriented training pushed him to strive for new personal bests. "So unlike my previous gyms, I’m actually excited to come in and work out with everyone," he says.
Rahul is currently working on two major goals:
Perform 5 bodyweight pull-ups by the end of the year
Bench press his bodyweight
Thanks to Studio ME's personalized programming and community support, he's well on his way. "We always have a challenge goal that we’re working towards and our workouts are geared towards getting us closer to accomplishing that goal."
He also appreciates the baseline testing. "It gives me a chance to pursue my personal goals. There are going to be days where I’m not at 100%, and that’s fine—everyone accepts that!"
That mindset—progress over perfection—is something Studio ME members come to embrace. Rahul encourages newcomers not to stress over doing everything perfectly. "It’s okay to ask questions and work at your own pace. Just give yourself grace for showing up!"
Rahul even took his health journey a step further by joining the Studio ME Nutrition Program. His biggest takeaway? Small, sustainable changes. "Substituting ingredients for healthier alternatives helped me meet my daily macro goals," he explains. "Things like swapping regular yogurt for Greek yogurt for more protein, or adding chia seeds to my smoothies for more fiber. It’s the little things that keep me motivated in the long run."
From fitness goals to food choices, Rahul is making steady progress. But more importantly, he’s doing it in a supportive environment where people cheer each other on—even if they prefer evening workouts. ("I don’t get how people do mornings, but if you’re reading this and do morning classes, you have my respect!")
